The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne is a dramatic story. It is about a boy and his family that recently moved to Poland. The boys name is Bruno. He is not suppose to go pass a certain place, but Bruno is adventurous and does. he finds a gate with a boy on the other side. The boy's name is Shmule and they find out they were born on the same day. They become best friends and see each other quit a few times. When Bruno comes one day he discovers a whole in the fence and goes in and sees many things and the rest is for you to read.
The Hiding Place 279 pages
The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom is a true story that the author lived and wrote. Its during the Holocaust and is about Corrie and her family who hid Jews in a secret compartment in her room. Later Nazis invaded their house and knew they were doing illegal activities. The Ten Boom's had to go to jail then after Corrie's father died they were sent to a concentration camp were eventually Corrie's sister died. In the end Corrie was allowed to leave but finds out years later that her release was a mistake.

Crash by Jerry Spinelli is about a popular kid named Crash. Crash is a football star and his best friend is Mike and they love to pick on the nerdy kid, Penn Webb. Webb is nerdy and is on the cheer leading team! Later in Crash's life he realizes that Webb has something he wants. In the end Crash chooses between Mike and Penn.

The Sign of The Beaver (137 pages)
The Sign of The Beaver is about a 12 year old boy named Matt, who builds a house with his father far away from his family for his family. When his father has to return to the thier family Matt has to live alone. He was just being a boy and messing around, but then gets hurt. Two indians help Matt and take good care of him for a while. Matt teaches Attean how to speak english and in return learns how to hunt. Towards the end Attean asks Matt to join the tribe and you have to read the book to find out if he accepts the offer.
